I don't see a preview of the document in the document list

To preview a document, click on the row containing the document.

If no document is displayed in the sidebar, it could be due to the following reasons:

  1. The sidebar is not open.

  2. The current sheet is not a document list.

  3. The selected document does not have a “Document No.”.

1. The sidebar is not open.

Check if the sidebar is open.

If the sidebar isn't open, open it. Learn more here.

2. The current sheet is not a document list.

Check whether the selected sheet in your Excel file is a document list. You can recognize document lists by the abbreviation of the sheet name – (II), (OI), (CA) or (OT).

If you accidentally renamed the sheet and removed the abbreviation, simply add it again. Learn more here.

3. The selected document does not have a “Document No.”.

Check whether the document list has a column “Document No.” and a number is stored in this column for the selected row. Every added document has an automatically assigned document number.

If you have manually inserted a row into the document list, usually a preview cannot be displayed for this row.

If the selected document row was added automatically but still has no document number, the number may have been accidentally overwritten. Check the version history of your Excel spreadsheet to restore the original document number.
